Lead-carbon AGM for vehicles with idle-stop, regenerative braking and frequent engine restarts. European LN1 to LN6 fitment. Tested to EN 50342 for endurance and micro-hybrid cycles.
Carbon additive in the negative active material suppresses sulfation under partial state-of-charge. Restart current stays strong over thousands of micro-cycles.
Over 400 endurance cycles and 8,000 micro-hybrid cycles per the European start-stop test profile.
LN1 to LN6 case sizes: 175 mm width, 190 mm height, length varies. Auto-post terminal with B13 hold-down profile.
Valve-regulated, gas-recombinant, non-spillable. Multi-orientation install. No topping up, no acid stratification under heavy cycling.
Standard SLI batteries lose plate capacity under repeated partial state-of-charge. SSL plates run a calcium-tin grid with carbon-enhanced negatives that hold charge acceptance over thousands of stop-start events. Three times the cycle life of standard SLI under EN 50342 hybrid testing.
Six AGM start-stop batteries on a 175 mm × 190 mm footprint. CCA from 570 to 950 A. RC from 80 to 190 minutes. Auto-post terminals on every model.

SSL replaces standard SLI on vehicles with automatic engine stop, restart and energy recovery. The carbon-enhanced negative plate handles the partial state-of-charge that flattens conventional flooded SLI within 18 to 24 months.
Cars that shut the engine at every stop light. Each restart is a heavy load on the battery while the alternator is off. SSL holds restart current stable for the warranty period.
Brake-recovery charge currents are high and irregular. SSL's lead-carbon plates accept charge faster than standard SLI without grid corrosion.
48 V mild-hybrids retain a 12 V SSL for accessory loads. Frequent shallow cycling per drive cycle is the design duty.
Urban delivery, courier, taxi, fleet. High restart count, low time on alternator. SSL outlasts SLI by a factor of three under this profile.
SSL ships with EN 50342 test reports on request. Vehicle fitment guides for European LN sizing available via atbpower.com. Datasheets, applications support and OEM cross-references at info@atbpower.com.
